I know right, the MC has been truly blessed, not only has a OP father but being taught as his disciple and given so many skills and also blessed with almost 100% spirit power!! Including that sword of darkness or light, that should be very helpful in the future no doubt. His future is looking pretty bright, only can go up from here and reap and obtain more benefits (from his father and other characters & external forces along his path to the greatest/strongest/most powerful knight) that'll surely make sure he's OP.

Basically his MC powers/benefits has activated and now he'll reap all the benefits and advantages that comes with that status/title/position lol. Oh how good it would be to be an MC, too bad for the side characters, though hopefully they don't neglect the side characters and also make them just as strong/powerful as the MC or at least close to his level. It'll be less exciting having weak side characters (his peers/friends/companions/comrades/allies) that're there to only make the MC look better showing how much stronger he's gotten/is compared to them, can't help fight super powerful/strong enemies with the MC being useless or in the way & always need saving, etc.

A good series is when also the friends grow with the MC (even stronger in some cases), able to handle their own weight and also able to save the MC when in need or take on more when the MC is weakened. I love strong side characters like Accelerator from "A Certain Scientific Accelerator," Hisoka from "Hunter X Hunter," Gojo Satoru from "Jujutsu Kaisen," Kakashi from "Naruto," Escanor from "Seven Deadly Sins" or Vegeta in "DBZ." Hopefully this one doesn't make that mistake also, but they already starting off that way so I don't have a lot of faith it will.

Make you wonder if the other young boys getting this same privilege in their knight training, O, O wait they don't cause they not the ( CHOSEN ONE) lol. They don't get that kind of privilege, also he got a huge advantage cause he getting trained by his OP father. which he doesn't know that yet, which will probably be revealed in later episodes. They already started out where the MC saves his weak friends showing off his newfound power, but hopefully they give the side characters power boosts too and other benefits instead of giving it all to the MC leaving them behind. They can at least be near the same power level as the MC if not stronger, I feel a great series when the side characters grow with the MC as well I won't hold my breath for this one though aha. It'd be a great series if they did though.

I'm not sure, but the girl will know of him, thanks to the ring, although he would not know who she is at the beginning.
I didn't complete to read the novel, but I think that in the future he will have to return the ring to her, so she can complete his training, the same as his ring. He is the Son of Light, so she should be the child of Dark or Night, but I'm not sure of the name, still she would be part of the good guys, although her power may look evil.

and the design is clearly inspired by games. i mean, that is pretty much the best example of a skill tree you can find in all of anime.

Cant help you there, havent read the novel or manhua so I cant compare, what I can say from reading forums and my own personal experience is that manhua tends to be (not always) a cut down, reduced content, aimed for younger readers, censored more than novel, feel-good work than the novel.

For Shen Yin Wangzuo, many people have said that the manhua summarises the novel and a lot of content is removed, so from what you said my guess is that the donghua is definitely not following the manhua, BUT in later chapters, the manhua will start to follow the novel more

it's funny how just like in Soul Land the dad has good intentions and reasons but comes off as an total asshole
